Denise studied art in Aix-En-Provence, France and earned a Fine Arts Degree at The School of Visual Arts.

She has worked in design and illustration in New York City since 1977. She taught mathematics and art in the public schools.

Her work is on permanent exhibit in Mount Sinai Hospital, and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

In 2011 she created a painting titled 'Prospect Park' that is on permanent display at the Children's Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania.

 A permanent exhibit of her Ancient Sculptures paintings is also on permanent display at East Side Middle School in Manhattan.

An exhibit of her watercolors were commissioned by The Ayurvedic Plate at 1616 Cortelyou Road in Brooklyn.

in 2019 , ‘SEEKING REFUGE’ was on exhibit in Long Island City, Nazareth Center for the Arts in Pennsylvania, and Manhattan.
